COAKER'S WALK - KODAIKANAL

Coaker’s walk - a famous attraction of Kodaikanal, a narrow pedestrian path of about one KM. It always interest everyone since passing through this stretch will offer extraordinary pleasure with the scenic beauty of hills. This winding trail offers panoramic view of deep valleys that brings joy to the tourists. Its really magical to see the clouds playing hide&seek and the sense of cold breeze while a shawl of mist covering you. There is a telescope house at the end of the path which offers a close watch of the nearby places. The best exploring time of coakers walk is until mid afternoon. If you are lucky enough, you could witness the rare fascinating phenomenon called `Brachem Spectre’. With this phenomenon, one can catch an awesome sight of his own shadow reflected on a cloud when sun is exactly behind him. This is truely a rare event because the probability of witnessing it is pretty much low due to swirling mists. In 1872, Coaker’s walk is named after Lt. Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodaikanal. Overall a walk amidst the scenic beauty enjoying a bite of fresh carrots leaves you simple pleasure.
